A kaleidoscope can produce an infinite number of artistic images.  Even the smallest movement is sufficient to transform the beautiful mirror image into a new composition of light, shape and colour.  Derived from the Greek kalos = beautiful, eidos = image, skopein = to look, it should really be called the viewer of beautiful images.
