Fullerenes are molecules of carbon atoms of which the C60 Fullerene (with 60 C atoms) is composed of pentagonal and hexagonal rings in a highly symmetric order. Looking like the geodesic domes of Buckminster Fuller they are nicknamed “Bucky Ball”.
